Distillate is basically flavourless, but some companies add terpenes back into the distillate carts so that they contain similar cannabis flavour profiles.

Most vaporizers, especially the ones with the push button, come locked so you can’t just screw in a cartridge and start vaping. Different types of batteries have different methods for unlocking them, but you generally have to press the button five times in quick succession, which would then unlock the device.
